Pamela Moreira's Story

Well, I was born a twin in 1978, premature and we were both in the verge of dying because of our weight.

I was born with club foot on my right foot and of what my mom told me, I had surgery 3-4 months after birth. All I remember is wearing special booted shoes, on higher than the other. I so hated to wear them, made me look stupid at the time.

I've not had any delays in my walking and also have a thinner right leg caused from the casts.
Now being a mother of 2...both my children were also born with club feet(bilateral).

My daughter is 5 and has had 3 surgeries from 5months old to 3 years of age, in and out of casts...my son is 2 1/2 and has has 2 surgeries so far and after the second surgery he used the ponseti method for a couple of months.

I am glad to say that they are both walking great. After each of their surgeries is was AMAZING how their feet turned out in the long run.

Now when I see their feet and notice their scars, it just crazy and wild how they won't even remember their pain! Pamela Moreira

to James if you have no interest then butt out this is a serious thing for people who have the condition. For Stephanie and Pamela, my daughter is 9 now and was born with the left foot clubbed. I feel your pain and can understand what you are going thru take care, email me if you just need a support system that is going thru it too.
